kisses from my baby, my cute husband, sleeping in, staying up late, thunderstorms, rain on a warm day, eating in the living room, laughing, a sad book, romantic movies, chocolate - give me the richest, thickest ganache and i'm a happy girl, sand between my toes, the way my boo says "mama," finding beauty in the ordinary, long drives, dusk, sunsets, morning sun, greasy pizza with extra cheese, hot baths, family, traveling, inspiring photos, my country, wind in my hair, the ocean, country music, kindness, gumption, good friends, popcorn and junior mints, coke, Janis Joplin, surprises, good conversation, watermelon, my feet tickled, autumn, Halloween, white bread, loud concerts, weddings, horseback riding, lilacs, the hum of crickets, humming brids...

my background
Journalism is my background. Working closely with photojournalists in a newsroom has strongly influenced my photography style and perspective.
Images are most fascinating and meaningful when caught in the moment, while allowing people to be themselves.
My perspective is genuine and unbiased with a contemporary, photojournalistic flare.

I have taken several photography classes online and from the University of Utah. Graduating in journalism, I attained much behind-the-camera experience filming live newscasts, which is a lot like photography. I have also gained familiarity with the opposite side of the lens as an anchor for a local Davis County newscast.
Each experience has yielded valuable knowledge and inspiration with which I have created my own artistic perspective.
